Two sails have been removed from a historic mill for repairs.
Bocking Windmill sustained extensive damage to one of its four sails in the high speed winds in Storm Ciara earlier this year.
A third of the sail snapped off and fell to the field below.
The sails are now being taken to the workshop in Suffolk to be re-built before they are reinstalled next year.
The works cost £18,000 with a combination of insurance money from the damage and funding from Braintree District Council.
Crowd funding events from the Friends of Bocking Windmill has also raised some money towards the repairs.
The 300-year-old mill was built in 1721 and is maintained by the group of volunteers who open the windmill for public visits.
