POLICE are appealing for witnesses after the same business premises was targeted by thieves two nights running.

The first incident took place on Monday 19 October at about 10.25pm when thieves used a cement slab to force entry into Boots on the High Street in Haverhill.

They smashed the lower glass pane of the front door and stole various items including perfume.

A second incident took place at 1.45am on Wednesday 21 October when offenders again used a cement slab again to force entry into the same store by smashing a glass door and stole various items including perfume and electrical items.

A Suffolk Police spokesman said: "Enquiries are on-going including the studying CCTV footage and conducting forensic investigations.

Anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area on either occasion or has knowledge of who was responsible should contact Bury St Edmunds CID quoting the relevant crime number."

The reference number for the first incident is 37/60904/20 while the second is 37/61141/20.
