AN ARMED robber stole £200 in cash from Betfred after pulling a weapon out of his bag and demanding staff hand over money.
Police are investigating after the incident on Moredon Road around 7.45pm on Tuesday.
The suspect had been in the shop for around 90 minutes before threatening the cashier. He is described as wearing a rucksack and trainers and fled the scene on a push bike.
A Swindon Police spokesman said: "Fortunately, nobody was injured during the incident but it was understandably frightening for those involved.
"Enquiries in relation to this incident are continuing today, and we’d urge anyone with information, including any dash cam footage or CCTV footage from the local area, to get in touch."
