THE HORSESHOE Pass in Llangollen is closed for two weeks for resufacing works.
Denbighshire Council says the A542 Horseshoe Pass between Llangollen and Ponderosa Cafe closed from Monday for two weeks.
The popular Ponderosa Cafe will remain open for takeaways during this time, with the cafe itself remaining closed.
A Denbighshire Council spokesperson said: “The road is closed for two weeks to facilitate some resurfacing on the section just above the Pentredwr turning.
“At the same time we are also improving the drainage on the upper section of the Pass from the quarry to the layby.
"This is being done ahead of another planned closure when this section will be resurfaced. This second piece of work is likely to take place towards the end of October"
