SOUTHEND United chairman Ron Martin feels not all the Shrimpers supporters will return to Roots Hall until there is a vaccine to stop coronavirus.
Blues - who have not played since beating Bristol Rovers in early March - do not yet know when they will be back on the pitch and when fans will be able to attend once again.
However, Martin believes the club’s supporters will be reluctant to come back until there is more protection in place.
“Until there’s a vaccine I think people will stay away,” said Martin.
“The youngsters might not but we have a number of mature supporters and I don’t think they will be a hurry to come along even if they could do.
"That will have an impact.”
