SCHOOLCHILDREN have created a special message to thank critical workers during the pandemic.

Children and staff at Gosfield Community Primary School spent last week thinking of a special way to thank workers who are still having to journey to work every day.

The school is one of several in the area still operating to support key workers’ children during the lockdown.

The children have been granted a special allowance by the Government to attend while their parents are still working during the lockdown.

Children and staff created a special message painted on a large banner outside the school.

The banner says “Gosfield says thank you” and is adorned with positive images, including rainbows, to cheer up critical workers driving past on their way to work.

Headteacher Joanne Morgan said: “I am so proud to be part of this kind and caring community.”

“We are so grateful to the parents for supporting our school closure and we can’t wait to have our wonderful children back in the school very soon.”

We’d love to print more of your positive messages.
