A CYCLING fundraiser to help a Halstead man who suffered a devastating stroke is being held this weekend.
Mike Seabrook, 49, was a keen cyclist and regularly attended a ‘spinning’ exercise class to keep fit.
But in 2018 he suffered a life-changing stroke.
Mike survived but still needs continued specialist treatment and equipment to continue his recovery.
A ‘spinathon’ has now been organised to raise funds to help Mike improve his life.
The four-hour event will see supporters riding exercise bikes at Halstead Leisure Centre.
There are four one hour stints from 1.30pm to 5.30pm on Saturday, March 14.
The event costs £20 for either an hour or the whole afternoon.
There are still bikes available for people wanting to take part in the fundraiser.
A cake sale is also taking place in the foyer of the centre from 8am until 12noon, and there will be a
raffle with spectacular prizes such as personal training, centre passes, beauty vouchers, wine, chocolate and many more goodies.
