NINE pet rats have become the latest residents looking for new homes at the RSPCA’s Danaher centre in Wethersfield.
The ‘fancy’ rats – called Possom, Harold, Bernard, Ernie, Albert, Alfred, Boris, Herbert and Henry – arrived at the animal shelter after their owner died.
A Danaher spokesman said:
“These handsome chaps are all full of character and will make exceptional additions to any family.
“Adorably mischievous, the boys are all very confident, very friendly, and very inquisitive lads.
“No doubt the little guys will keep their new families entertained with all the antics they plan to get up to once in their new homes.”
The pets are only available in groups of three to help them settle into their new homes more quickly.
Anyone interested in taking them in can go meet them in person.
They are best suited to children aged over six.
