The A12 southbound is currently closed after a car left the road following a crash.

Police have closed the A12 between junction 25 for Marks Tey and junction 24 for Kelvedon North after a collision.

Essex Roads Policing Unit tweeted: "We are about to put a closure in on the A12 between junction 25 and junction 24 southbound due to a road traffic collision.

"Will update as soon as possible. Bare with us."

Police have also confirmed one lane is closed between junction 24 and junction 23.

A spokesperson from Essex Police said: "We were called to reports of a two vehicle collision on the A12 London-bound between Marks Tey and Kelvedon at around 3.15pm on Tuesday 25 February.

"It is not believed anyone was seriously hurt.
