SOUTHEND United manager Sol Campbell is considering resting striker Charlie Kelman at Peterborough United tomorrow night.

The 18-year-old has started the last four matches for the Shrimpers.

But Campbell hinted he may opt to leave out the youngster at London Road.

“Charlie is a great prospect and he’s done really well but it’s all about giving him a rest as well,” said the Blues boss.

“He wants to play and he loves it.

"He’s confident and loves to score goals but sometimes you need a mental rest and a physical rest because he’s still a very young boy playing a man’s game.

"I’m enjoying watching him play and how he progresses but we have to manage him too.”
