ROB Small insists he will accept ‘no less than 100 per cent’ when Bowers & Pitsea visit Merstham tonight.
Bowers claimed their first point of 2020 by recording a 2-2 draw at Bishop’s Stortford on Saturday.
And Small is keen for his 17th-placed Bowers to build on the result at Merstham.
“I can always accept players making mistakes but I won’t accept giving up or a lack of effort,” said the Bowers chief.
“I want my players to give everything.
“They know I will accept no less than 100 per cent.”
Bowers got 2020 underway by seeing their three-match Isthmian Premier League winning run come to an end against East Thurrock United.
But Small was pleased with how his side responded at Bishop’s Stortford.
“When you lead twice and don’t win, it’s difficult to not be disappointed,” added Small.
“But Jamie Cureton showed unbelievable quality to drag them back into the game.”
