AN ANIMAL shelter has issued a desperate plea to help two 'adorable' dogs find new homes.

Yorkies Reggie and Ronnie, who are both ten, have been cared for by staff at the RSPCA Danaher Animal Home in Wethersfield after they were left homeless in November.

The duo were said to have stolen the show at this year's RSPCA Christmas Concert and have also been involved in photoshoots with TV presenter Matt Johnson and comedian Jon Culshaw.

Despite their rise to fame, Reggie and Ronnie remain without an owner and the RSPCA has issued an appeal to help them find a home for the new year.

Craig Horsler, who helps looks after the golden oldies, said: “Reggie and Ronnie are just adorable and it’s such a shame that they haven’t found a new home in time for Christmas.

“They have always been together and they came into our care through no fault of their own after their owner signed them over to the RSPCA.

“On arrival they were both a little scared, but it didn’t take long for them to settle in and make friends with everyone. They are really friendly and love nothing more than your company and a quiet cuddle on your lap.

“Reggie can still be a little nervous at times but with some positive reassurance she soon relaxes. They both walk well on the lead together, and love exploring on their walks. We want to rehome them together as they have a lovely bond.

“It would be the perfect Christmas gift if we could find them a retirement home where they can live out their last years together, enjoying what they do most, being together, playing and having lots of fuss.”
