A MOTORIST was caught drug driving three times in three months.
Michael Saltwell had illegal substances in his system while behind the wheel in March, April and May and has been hauled before magistrates three times.
The 32-year-old wanted all matters to be dealt with together, however the courts were unable to do so because of the time taken to analyse blood samples.
For the latest offence, Saltwell admitted to driving with derivatives of cocaine and cannabis in his system.
Police stopped him in Hatfield Road, Witham, because his Audi A4 had no MOT and smelt the drugs.
He co-operated with drug wipes and was eventually found to be more than six times the limit for the cocaine derivative and more than three times for the cannabis.
Magistrates banned him from driving for 18 months but allowed a community order he is currently serving to run.
Saltwell, of Witham Road, Black Notley, was also fined £350 and must pay costs of £85 and a £35 victim surcharge.
