CAFÉ bosses have hailed their charity fundraising event a big success.
Buzy Beanz Bistro, in Bridge Street, Halstead, held a charity event raising money for Cancer Research UK.
Guests enjoyed tapas and sangria while also taking part in a raffle with prizes donated from a number of stores in the area.
Halstead mayor Andy Munday opened the event and also joined in with the festivities.
Café co-owner Clare Truman said: “It was a fantastic afternoon and we can’t wait to do it again soon.
“Our raffle raised £138 but then the event went over to the Bull pub where there was more money raised.
“We’ll definitely be doing it again in the future as we had great feedback from everyone saying it will bring Halstead together as a community.”
The café has just celebrated its two-year anniversary.
