Proud villagers came together to admire their new village sign.
The previous Gosfield sign had been donated by the Women’s Institute back in 1975.
To preserve it, the sign was repaired and repainted to go in a new location near the village playing field.
The work cost £6,000 which was paid for by grants from the Rowson Trust, the parish council and the Gosfield Lake Golf Club.
The sign on the village green shows scenes from the village and incorporates the name of the twinned village of Chouze sur Loire, in France.
The official unveiling was carried out by former parish council chairman Maggie Pawsey who was joined by current members of the parish council and the village’s twinning association.
