A TALK on nude photography is set to be given by an award-winning photographer this month.

Halstead and District Photographic Society presents photographer Tim Pile with his talk Have I Got Nudes for You.

The event will be held at The Bull Inn in Bridge Street, Halstead, on September 19.

Tim will talk about his photographic journey, how he gained his distinctions and awards and why he came to specialise in nudes.

There will also be time for a question-and-answer session after the talk.

Tim will be sharing useful tips and recounting some of the stories around the making of his images.

Mr Pile said: “The female form is a beautiful thing, and I try to capture that beauty in my images, using man-made and natural environments.

“I generally prefer to take pictures that include models, rather than just pictures of models.

“I have no artistic background, and I feel that my eye for composition comes from having studied mathematics.

“In essence, my photographs are about light and how it’s managed.

“I live in Birmingham, which is near the centre of England, but look far and wide for locations to go with my models.

“I enjoy immensely creating these images, and I hope I can brighten up your day by sharing my images with you.”

He presents his talks with various camera clubs across the country.

Sally Sallett, of Wakefield Camera Club, said: “We arranged for Tim to present ‘Have I Got Nudes for You’.

“His talk was followed by prolonged applause for a wonderful evening.

“This entertaining and stimulating talk was accompanied by a constant succession of top drawer prints featuring models in various locations.”

Visitors are asked to arrive at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.

Entry is £5 for guests and free for members. For details, email secretary@halsteadphoto.org.uk.
