AN inquest has opened into the death of a man found hanging at his home.

Zak Farmer was discovered by emergency services at his home in Braintree on July 21.

At Chelmsford Coroner's Court yesterday an inquest exploring his death was opened and adjourned.

Howard Goddard, coroner's officer, said: "Paramedics attended the address and his death was confirmed.

"Police confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances surround his death. No note was found.

"A postmortem was carried out on July 30 at Broomfield Hospital and the cause of death was given as hanging.

"Toxicology results were taken."

Senior Coroner Caroline Beasley-Murray fixed a date for the full inquest of December 2.

Mr Farmer was known to the Essex Partnership University Foundation Trust, which runs mental health services in Essex.

Ms Beasley-Murray said: "I will need a copy of the postmortem and police statements."
