A LONG-SERVING member of Halstead’s Rotary Club has been unveiled as the organisation’s new president for the next year.
Mike Prince has been a member of the charitable institution since 1997 and this is now the third time he has helmed the town’s Rotary Club.
He took up his new position at the start of July, following an afternoon tea handover event hosted by outgoing president Keith Brownlie, who was also awarded with a prestigious Paul Harris Fellowship.
A spokesman said: “Mike is very pleased to have taken on the role and said he is looking forward to working with Rotarians and members of the public to support our local communities and local charities in the year ahead.
“He is also keen to support the ongoing Rotary International goal of eradicating polio worldwide and supporting worthwhile charities abroad.”
