A CHARITY which supports Armed Forces veterans is appealing for volunteers to help sell its famous poppies ahead of this year’s Remembrance Sunday.
The Royal British Legion in Halstead is looking for people to help distribute the symbolic red poppies and collect donations, while also spreading awareness of the brave sacrifices made by the Armed Forces.
Poppy sellers will be required to work for two weeks from October 26 until November 9 – the day before Remembrance Sunday.
Under-18s wanting to take part must be accompanied by an adult.
To volunteer, visit the Halstead Royal British Legion or call 01787 478466.
