TWO people have been arrested after police were called to reports of gunshots.
A 22 year-old woman and a 20 year-old man were arrested on the A120 in Braintree yesterday (July 4) afternoon in connection with an incident in the early hours of yesterday.
Drivers were left facing long delays on the A120 eastbound near Great Notley as officers closed one lane to deal with the incident.
Police had originally been called to reports of gunshots in Murchison Close, Chelmsford, at around 12.45am on Thursday.
When they arrived found a window had been damaged.
Anyone who was in the area around this time and saw any suspicious behaviour, or has CCTV or dash cam footage, are asked to contact Chelmsford Police Station on 101, quoting incident 23 July 4.
