Police have appealed for witnesses to two car break-ins which occurred in Llanymynech.

Officers say two cars were broken into on the Cae Haidd estate in Llanymynech on Thursday, June 20, with items stolen.

The full statement says:

"Newtown Police are investigating a theft from two unattended cars at Cae Haidd estate in Llanymynech STB 21.00hrs Thursday 20/06/2019 and 05.00hrs Friday 21/06/2019, a selective search has been made and low value items stolen.

"Powys residents are asked to be vigilant to anything suspicious as this crime appears to have been committed closer to 0500hrs.

"Police are reminding residents to keep their vehicles and properties secure at all times."
