The heartbroken owners of a cancer support dog are appealing for information after she went missing from her home near Llanidloes.
Bella, a four-year-old Golden Retriever, was bought for Merlin Blockley, 28, who has Cerebral Palsy to help him recover from cancer.
She went missing from a farm in Tylwch between Thursday, June 13, and Sunday, June 16.
Her owners believe she was stolen and are working on tracking a vehicle that was seen in the area by checking CCTV footage in the town.
Merlin's mum Fran told the County Times: "We've been sick with worry and Merlin is so upset. Bella was part of his recovery journey.
"She's helped him through so much. She's been an amazing companion. Everyone knows Bella in Llanidloes.
"It's awful not knowing what has happened to her. We can't believe anyone would take Bella from Merlin. It's devastating."
The family have thanked the community for the "incredible" response to an appeal on Facebook which has been shared more than 1,000 times.
"So many people in the local community are helping Merlin get his dog back home.
"Everyone has been so supportive. It means a lot."
