PET-LOVERS and their pooches turned out in force for a three-mile walk around Danaher Animal Centre in Wethersfield.
About 50 people took part in the walk, which raised £440 for treats, toys and activities for dogs in the centre’s care.
Organisers said everyone had a good time, despite the sun, rain and hail.
Danaher volunteers took the chance to take some of the dogs waiting for their forever homes on the walk.
They were joined by owners of dogs that had previously been rehomed by Danaher.
The centre is now preparing for its next fundraising event, the annual fun day in July, which includes
a fun dog show, stalls, a barbecue and live music.
The event will run from 11am until 4pm on Sunday, July 21.
