A STAGGERING amount has been raised from a monthly craft fair in memory of a Greenfield man who was ‘known to many and loved by all who knew him’.

The Leader previously published a tribute to Keith Parry, a former bus driver, who died on Easter Sunday, April 21.

Tributes were paid by his daughter Susan Parry-Harwood to the ‘truly wonderful man’ who was ‘known to many and loved by all who knew him’ – who runs the fundraising fairs, Heartfelt Art and Craft.

The most recent fair, held on Saturday May 18 at Halkyn Parish Hall, raised a brilliant £816.25 for Ty Croeso Dawn Elizabeth House located at Glan Clwyd Hospital where her father received ‘brilliant care’.

Susan said: “We were delighted with the superb public support and attendance at our Heartfelt craft fair. Ty Croeso is a wonderful charity supporting parents of poorly children in hospital.

“Out of the total raised, £135 was raised and donated by staff at Kassidy’s Tea Room, Holywell, in memory of my father Keith Parry.

As a family, we match funded the amount making a total donation to the charity of £270.00”

Charity Treasurer Lorna Doyle said: “On behalf of the staff and all our volunteers at Ty Croeso Dawn Elizabeth House, a massive thank you to Susan and her family for giving us such a fantastic opportunity to raise much needed funds and for all their hard work.

“As well as raising a whopping £816.25, we were also able to raise awareness of our charity to many more people. All the money goes to help run our six-bedroomed house at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd which enables parents to stay near their child while they are in hospital.”
