Continuing our Now and Then series in Down Memory Lane we take a look at Aveley High Street.
Images show all of the old buildings that have been since been replaced.
The high street has a stone entrance to the parish church.
This has stood the test of time alongside the Aveley war memorial.
In Mill Road, the thatched cottages and weather boarded houses, typical of Essex villages, have given way to a petrol station.
