Brexit mess or not, life on a daily local level must proceed.
Voters on May 2 need only to consider whether the past four years of district and town governance has been reasonable.
If so, then the party in charge, especially of the financial responsibilities, should be returned to continue its careful usage of taxpayers' monies.
Labour inevitably has a spendthrift approach and Conservatives watch the budget carefully.
This thought is what should be uppermost in voters' minds once in the voting booth.
