Police on hunt for driver who stole car and escaped during a chase
A DRIVER escaped after stealing a car in Colchester.
Police attempted to stop a stolen vehicle in Queen Elizabeth Way, Colchester, at around 1.45pm today, Sunday, March 17.
The vehicle failed to stop and drove off at speed before the car was abandoned in Abbots Road.
The occupants then ran off and police were unable to find them following a search of the area.
They have notified the owner of the vehicle and enquiries are ongoing.
