PUPILS dressed up as their favourite book characters to celebrate the importance of reading.
Youngsters at Steeple Bumpstead Primary School had the chance to spend the day being their favourite book character as the school staged a day of fancy dress as part of World Book Day.
Pupils spent the day as Mary Poppins, Harry Potter and even Mr Men as part of the international charity day helping to bring books to all children.
As well as dressing up, pupils across the school got involved in painting book recommendations on a rock around the theme ‘Steeple Rocks’.
The rocks are going to be hidden around the school grounds.
