A COUNCILLOR is urging people to report potholes.

As part of the Essex County Council Highways bid to reduce the number of road defects, councillor Joanne Beavis is mindful that she will soon be asked to suggest the next ten potholes which need repairing in Halstead.

The RAC has rated Essex County Highways as one of the best in the country for improvement on pot holes.

Mrs Beavis said: “I would encourage all residents to use the Essex County Council Highways Report It tool.

“I would encourage all residents, particularly our young, to drive with care over the coming weeks to meet the icy conditions of the road and to thank Essex County Council for such a proactive and responsive service to ensure our roads are as safe as possible.”
