A SIX foot dragonfly sculpture is on display at a craft centre.

The Circling The Sun shop at the Blake House Craft Centre, Blake End, is home to the metal work which is part of a raffle for a little girls sensory room.

The dragonfly, which was crafted by Graham Thrussell, was made to raise money for Olivia Bowyer, eight, who has low muscle tone, global developmental delay, sensory and speech problems, and autism.

Her mum, Debbie Parker, has been organising fundraising ventures for around six years in order to provide Olivia with the things she needs.

The latest fundraising project is to build a sensory room for her.

Graham engraved the dragonfly, which he donated as part of the fundraising, with Olivia’s name and the number one as the first of a series of sculptures to raise money for her.

Raffle tickets are on sale for someone to be able to win the handcrafted sculpture.

He will make a new sculpture to raffle every year until she is 18.

Raffle tickets are £2 each from gofundme.com/olivia-needs-you.

Tickets can also be brought at the Circling The Sun shop where the dragonfly is displayed.

The raffle is due to be drawn at the end of February.
