A PANTO is set to be taking place at Halstead's Empire Theatre.

The Stane Street Players production of Mother Goose follows the winter wonderland adventure of a mother goose on a rescue mission to save her magical snow goose, Heidi.

The New Year Pantomime written by Ben Crocker sees the protagonists journey battling against the evil troll Smorg, the threat of her cottage disappearing and baby trolls in hope that the Body of Beauty will work.

Along the way she also meets the wicked Baron Von Rumpensmakka and his henchman Gonk who try a little "oochie-koochie" practice.

Stane Street Players say it's going to be great fun for all of the family.

The Empire Theatre will be running the production on Friday January 18, Saturday 19 and Saturday 26 for 7.30 evening performances as well as offering matinee shows on Saturday 19, Sunday 20 and the following Saturday 26 at 2.30pm.

Tickets cost £10.
