A TRIBUTE to one of the most iconic pop singers ever will be held at Braintree Arts Theatre.

Sweeney Entertainments will be putting together an unforgettable night dedicated to the King of Pop himself, Michael Jackson.

Some of Jack’s biggest hits will be performed throughout the evening, including renditions of Thriller and Black Or White.

The undisputed King of Pop sold an astonishing 400 million records worldwide and enjoyed a record-breaking 13 number one singles in the United States during his solo career.

At the height of his fame he was the biggest superstar in the world and remains the third best-selling artist behind only the Beatles and Elvis Presley.

Jackson is not only remembered as one of the most influential artists of all time, but many of today’s artists have been inspired by his iconic style. His career spanned nearly five decades, and he was continually at the forefront of popular music.

Tasked with recreating that famous moonwalk and those high pitched notes is CJ, who is said to be one of the most experienced, dedicated and well-respected Michael Jackson tribute artists in the world today

A spokesman for Sweeney Entertainments said: “CJ perfectly captures the electrifying energy of Michael’s live performances with 100 per cent live vocals.

“He’s got the look, the moonwalk and the voice. His renditions of Thriller, Beat It and Billie Jean are truly sensational.

“Jackson Live in Concert brings together superb musicians and dancers, fabulous costumes, and all the signature dance moves associated so fondly with the undisputed King of Pop.

The concert takes place at the Notley Road theatre on Saturday, January 26, at 8pm.

Tickets cost £22 per person and there are no age restrictions.

The estimated duration of the concert is expected to last 130 minutes, including the interval.
