AN appeal has been launched after two cars and personal items were stolen from a home in Rayne.

Essex Police wants to speak to anyone who witnessed the burglary which took place in Medley Road.

A number of suspects are thought to have broken into a house before stealing keys for both a red Volvo V60 and a white Renault Clio.

They also took a wallet and a purse which both contained cash, bags, and three Apple iPhones.

The burglars then left the house before fleeing the scene in the two vehicles.

A police spokesman said: "Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing for witnesses who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the time and saw the cars being driven away.

"We are also keen to speak to anyone with information that could assist in finding the stolen property or identifying those responsible."

The burglary took place sometime between midnight and 7am on Friday, November 30.
