A TEAM are working around the clock to provide Pebmarsh with a new community area.

Matthew Hogsbjerg, 46, came up with the idea to convert his fathers dilapidated barns into small local businesses.

The idea came about when his step-daughter, Abbie Barker, wanted the opportunity to run her own salon.

Abbie, 24, said: "We opened Head Quarters Hair Design in May 2018 offering all hairdressing services including hair extensions.

In July we opened Head Quarters Beauty to complement our ever growing hairdressing salon.

Our guests love our flexible six days a week hours including a 9pm late night with on site ample parking."

The next venture was a village store, which opened on Tuesday and has already been a huge success in the village.

Debbie Davis, the project manager, said: "For anyone else I would say it would take about a year to convert one of these barns, but for these guys, about four months.

They work around the clock to make sure it is done."

Debbie said the aim it to provide a place that families can come to in the village without having to worry about driving and parking somewhere.

Now that the village store is up and running, work on the third village business is underway.

Plans are for the barn to become an eatery, however details of what this will entail are not yet confirmed.

Matthew added: "We have hundreds of ideas, but are are just going to see how things develop and how it all works out.

"Everyone is really interested to have somewhere they can come to without parking.

"I think the reason why it should be here is because Pebmarsh is more in the middle of everywhere than in the middle of no where."
