T.Rextasy heading to Halstead's Empire Theatre

Tickets are still available for T.Rextasy’s tribute gig to Marc Bolan and T.Rex, which takes place on Sunday, December 9.

T.Rextasy are the only band to have been authorised and endorsed by Mr Bolan’s catalogue management and are now officially recognised as the world’s number one group dedicated to the popular glam rocker.

The group, which is led by uncanny doppelganger lead singer and lead guitarist, Danielz, will perform a powerful and mesmerising presentation of Mr Bolan’s rock and pop anthems throughout an action packed evening.

Support acts will also be on hand to ensure every penny spent by the audience is worth it.

A spokesman said: “To watch T.Rextasy in concert not only demands stamina, but also a healthy pair of lungs to sing along to the rocking numbers that made Bolan the leading force of glam rock.

“After the initial impact of T.Rextasy’s stage presence, and the lead singer’s uncanny resemblance in voice and looks to Marc Bolan, you know that you’re in for an evening’s worth of Bolanic hits, played to perfection and with incredible enthusiasm.

“T.Rextasy play for their audience, and most of them obviously want to hear songs they know and love.”

The band will be playing many of Mr Bolan’s top hits, including Metal Guru, Jeepster, Telegram Sam, Hot Love, Children of the Revolution, Ride a White Swan, Get it On, I Love to Boogie, New York City, The Groover, Solid Gold Easy Action, and 20th Century Boy.

T.Rextasy first debuted in 1992 and members have since gone on to tour with the likes of The Sweet, Slade, Ian Hunter, and Status Quo.

The band are said to attract a wide age group and their impressive CV also includes appearances at festivals in Denmark and Germany.

The gig at the Empire Theatre, in Butler Road, gets underway at 7.30pm but doors open from 7pm.
