We will remember them.

In schools, at clubs, and on sports fields.

On our High Streets, in shops, in pubs, in churches and while at home.

This year marks the centenary of the end of the Great War and alongside Remembrance events there will be special ceremonies to mark the occasion.

Members of the community have also come together to remember the fallen.

Age has been no barrier with those wanting to mark the anniversary ranging from the elderly to the young.

From life-size Tommy silhouettes to knitted poppies and bagpipes playing for Battle’s Over, we have done our best to ensure the lost are not forgotten.

These acts have shown the pride, emotion and connection felt for our fallen heroes has not diminished, even after the passing of a century.

And they help to pass on the message about the importance of Remembrance to the younger generation.

How ever we all choose to remember those who paid the ultimate price this weekend, we will have done their memory proud.

We will remember them.
