Two teenage boys have been arrested on suspicion of a number of offences which include robbery.

A 17-year-old and 15-year-old were arrested on Sunday on suspicion of robbing a teenage boy in Stebbing on October 5 and November 3.

They were also arrested on suspicion of robbing a man on October 19 in the Garden Fields area of Stebbing and a public order offence in High Street, Stebbing, on September 27.

The older boy was also arrested on suspicion of two aggravated burglaries in Beckers Green Road and Vanguard Way, Braintree, on July 31.

He was also arrested for the attempted theft of a push scooter in Stebbing Green on July 4 and interfering with a car in Warehouse Road, Stebbing, on July 23.

The younger boy was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a man in The Endway, Great Easton, on October 31, and a burglary at St Anne’s Catholic Church in Dunmow on January 1.

He was also arrested on suspicion of the theft of a push along scooter in Stebbing Green on July 4.

Both of the boys, who are from Dunmow, have been released on conditional bail until December 1, while police continue their enquiries.

Meanwhile, a 22-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs and handling stolen goods.

He has been released under investigation.

A distinctive gold chain with a lion head pendant was recovered and police say they are trying to trace the owner.
