Pupils are being encouraged to walk to school after being handed hi-vis kit bags.

Holy Trinity Primary School, in Halstead, has been gifted the fluorescent bags to wear to and from school as part of International Walk to School Month.

The bag were donated by homebuilder David Wilson Homes.

The developer is building the St Andrew’s Gate development on Oak Road.

Mark Cotes, managing director, said: “Holy Trinity CofE Primary School is close to our St Andrew’s Gate development, so as families move into their new homes it is important for us to support International Walk to School Month and encourage families to stay safe while walking to and from school.

“By offering pupils a helping hand and donating hi-visibility kit bags they should be encouraged to walk to school and can stay safe as the dark nights draw in.”
