The revival of a once struggling care home continues to gather pace after staff were put forward for regional and national awards.

Halstead Hall care home, which is now run by family group Stow Healthcare, has been shortlisted in the management team of the year category in the national Caring UK Awards.

The home, which is based off Mount Hill, Halstead, was rescued from closure by Stow Healthcare earlier this year after it was put up for sale by Essex County Council.

The company has made major changes at the home.

As well as securing a place in a national final, the home’s deputy manager Jamie Cutmore has been put forward for an award in the regional Great British Care Awards.

Manager Heather Choat said: “Halstead Hall, and everyone who lives and works here, is delighted by the success of our team in being selected from so many excellent homes and staff across the region and the UK.

“To be named as one of the top five care management teams in the UK is just fabulous and means so much to us all, as does the much deserved finalist place for my excellent deputy Jamie Cutmore.”
