A VETERINARY clinic is inviting dog owners to go along to its annual charity dog walk to raise cash for charity.

Catley Cross Vets, which is based near Halstead, will hold the three-mile-long event next month for Children in Need.

Last year, around 80 people and 100 dogs took part in the jaunt and managed to raise an impressive £600.

Leila Irving, who is helping organise the day, said: "We are hoping for sunshine and to see lots of clients, family and friends of the practice with their lovely dogs.

"Hopefully everyone - humans only - will leave with full tummies from our yummy homemade cake stand."

It will begin at the practice off the A131 and follow a route through the countryside which surrounds the surgery.

After the walk there will be tea and cake which will be provided by staff and family members of staff.

A donation of £2 per dog will be requested while tea and cake will cost £1. Call 01787 269006 to confirm your spot.

It will take place place from 11am on Sunday, November 25.
