How delightful to read (September 28) the Environment Agency is to spend £50,000 (of our money) to help eels on the River Colne to mate.
What a pity they cannot treat the people of Halstead equally well and do something about the state of the Colne at Townsford Mill.
To be honest this isn’t funny for the eels either as the only creatures prospering from the dereliction of duty by the Environment Agency are the rats.
And they do like a young elver for a snack.
