A business specialising in the production of cereal bars has been hailed one of the district’s top performing companies.

Braintree Council says Eat Natural, which has factories on Bluebridge Industrial Estate in Halstead, is one of the strongest businesses in the district.

The company has an annual turnover of £19 million and produces a staggering two million hand made bars every week.

As part of a business tour, councillors and members of the Economic Development Team paid a visit to Eat Natural’s offices in Halstead head office to learn more about the company’s history and business success story.

Councillor Tom Cunningham, Cabinet Member for Economic Development, was one of a number of people given a tour of the premises.

He said: “It was a real pleasure to visit Eat Natural and get an insight into their day to day work and hear about their story to success.

“To see how much hard work and passion goes into creating each individual product is astonishing and are a prime example of a local business thriving right on our doorstep.”

Councillors identified a potential funding opportunity for Eat Natural during the visit and have offered to continue their support for the business.
