Wannabe witches and wizards are being invited to take part in a spell-binding brand new workshop.

Brightworth’s School of Magic is running classes for youngsters at Hedingham Castle throughout half-term week.

Morning and afternoon classes will be held on each day where pupils will get the chance to meet their teacher and begin to learn all about the art of magic.

Youngsters will get the opportunity to find out what makes a wand magic, how to make potions and the secretive world of enchanted animals.

All students will be given their own wand which they can keep and customise in which ever way they like.

There will also be a chance to meet some enchanted animals, such as barn owls, snakes and other magical creatures.

After completing their lessons, pupils will be handed magic school certificate.

The classes are run entirely by Red Castle Events, a group which specialises in creating large scale immersive experiences.

A spokesman said: “Red Castle Events create unforgettable experiences across a range of media.

“Working with an expert crew including professional actors, set builders and content creators, we create truly immersive experiences for a range of ages.”

Hedingham Castle will remain open throughout half-term week, so youngsters can explore the grounds and enjoy the history on offer.

The classes will begin on Sunday, October 21, and continue through to Friday, October 26.

Two classes will be held each day, with one starting at 10.30am and the other at 1.30pm.

Tickets cost £12.50 for children, though adults can also take part at a cost of £10.

Anyone wishing to attend a class is asked to book tickets in advance, although a handful will be sold on the day.
