Junior school pupils celebrated the annual harvest festival to help the less fortunate.

The students of Howbridge Junior School joined together in assembly and collected food and other essential items to give to the foodbank.

Each class presented a decorated hamper, which was presented as part of the harvest festival assembly. and the Musical Theatre Club performed The Harvest Recipe of Love.

Mrs Brumby, leader of music, said: "The students gave an amazing performance and sang beautifully.

"Alongside Rev Christine they helped the school recognise a true harvest is made from a recipe of love.

"This year the pupils filled more than 16 hampers brimming with food and other essential items.

"Mrs Batt, the acting headteacher, was delighted with this record-breaking collection and was extremely proud of the students generosity."
