Halstead came together to help raise funds for its amateur cricket club.
The annual cricket and beer festival is a key event in the Halstead Cricket club diary and this year’s edition saw hundreds of people turn out in a show of support.
Along with friendly T20 matches, held on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday, visitors were able to enjoy a range of beers on offer, while Cakewhole Mafia were on hand to provide live music.
Organiser Adam Morris, who took over responsibility of the festival for the first time this year with the help of Lauren Hume, said: “It was a really good few days, we had lots of support and people offering to help out and with sponsorship.
“I want to thank the groundstaff who did a great job as always preparing the pitches.
“We don’t know how much we raised yet but it was certainly a successful festival.”
“We probably had about 250 people come along on the Saturday to hear the band play. There was lots of new faces as well which is important for the club.”
