A woman in her 50s has died at some flats in Halstead.
Emergency services were called to Trinity Court at around 5.20am on Tuesday after receiving concerns for a woman’s welfare.
Residents reported seeing at least four police cars arrive at the flats, with the ambulance service also attending.
An air ambulance is also believed to have landed nearby.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service, a woman in her 50s was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “The death is not being treated as suspicious.
“A file will be prepared for HM’s Coroner.”
