Everyone knows dinner parties can be dull - so why not spice things up a bit by dissecting a lifelike synthetic human corpse after you've finished your dessert.

Anatomy Lab Live offers revellers a surgical spin on a traditional dinner party with an authentic "dinner and dissection" experience utilising VIVIT - the world's only semi-synthetic human cadaver.

After a successful event in April, the nationally acclaimed show will return to Earls Colne's Essex Golf and Country Club as part of the show's UK wide tour in 2019.

Company director and qualified anatomist Samuel Piri said: "We're really excited to be back with the surgery tour in 2019.

"We’ve worked hard to respond to everybody’s feedback and requests and the surgery is definitely going to be exciting.

"A perfect blend of infotainment that will promise and unforgettable night like never before.

"We urge you to get your tickets as soon as possible as the last two tours have sold out within a few days."

Those lucky enough to get tickets will enjoy a meal in the operating theatre dining room before the centre stage operating theatre springs into action.

Ventilators, a crash trolley and a full medical team will race against the clock to save a patients life as the show opens.

A live patient will be rushed through the crowd to the stage before being anaesthetised in a state of panic

Then Mr Piri and his clinical team will take the scalpel to the patients chest and the night really begins.

Working on real specimens using real surgeons tools, the surgery explores the intricate structures of the human body and how they function to keep you alive.

Those attending will be given mortuary wear along with surgical wear and tools such as scalpels, bone saws, forceps and scissors.

After taking part in the live postmortem experience revellers can claim an Anatomy Lab Live CPD certificate.

The event is aimed at those studying anatomy, physiology or pathology, medical professionals or anyone with an interests in the human body or medicine. However the general public are welcome to attend.

Anatomy Lab Live returns to the Essex Golf and Country Club on Saturday, April 13, 2019.

Tickets for the event cost £79, with student, NHS and group discounts also available.
