Videos of Ray Winstone will begin appearing online over the next 12 months in aid of the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance.

The charity’s patron donated his acting talents to create a number of films, audio clips and pose for photographs to boost support for the life-saving charity across Essex and Hertfordshire.

He said it is a pleasure to volunteer with the service.

The actor said: “They always make me feel welcome with a bacon sandwich on arrival.

“This charity needs over £6 million a year which is unbelievable. I don’t think many people realise it doesn’t receive central Government funding.”

Ray also met with EHAAT staff, including chief executive Jane Gurney. She said: “Ray is a huge star, so we’re incredibly grateful he continues to find time in his busy schedule to help us.

“It’s been amazing to see such a talented actor at work at close hand, and I look forward to sharing the results over the coming year.”
