AN arts and crafts event will celebrate the royal wedding with a themed session this weekend.
Messy Church, at St Andrew’s Church, Halstead, will take place on Saturday and celebrate the marriage of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
It is designed for families with primary and pre-school age children and there will be crafts and games, a story, songs and a street-party style meal.
The Rev Katie de Bourcier, rector at St Andrew’s, said: “Messy Church is all about having time together in a relaxed, informal way, with lots of activities and delicious food. We’ve put together lots of royal wedding-themed activities and it should be great fun.
“I’ll be watching the royal wedding on television beforehand – and then we’ll continue the celebrations at Messy Church.”
It is free to enter and held in the St Andrew’s Centre, in Parsonage Street, from 3pm until 5pm.
Everyone is welcome at the event whether or not they’ve been before.
