A TRIBUTE to a British rock band is coming to town for a performance sure to wow audiences.
Money for Nothing, which was formed in 2000, is a tribute to rock band Dire Straits.
The group shares the title with one of Dire Straits’ top hits and will perform at Halstead’s Empire Theatre next month.
Fronting the band is guitarist and Mark Knopfler sound-alike Aled Williams.
Behind him the line-up features top-class and experienced musicians that make this band a worthy tribute to Dire Straits.
Aled and all the band have studied Dire Straits in great depth to re-create their tribute to be as close as possible to the real thing.
Dire Straits were a British rock band that formed in Deptford, London.
Their top hits include Romeo and Juliett, Industrial Disease and Private Investigations, in a career which ran for almost twenty years from 1977 to 1996.
They released six albums, won six Brit awards, and gained six Grammy awards.
Money For Nothing will perform at the Halstead Empire Theatre on Butler Road, on November 11.
Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
Audiences can get tickets costing £15. They can be booked by calling the box office on 07778 025490 between midday and 10pm daily or online at www.
